stupidest religion news headline in ages
Texas polygamist sect is accused of indoctrinating girls

Meanwhile, Pope accused of Catholicism during US visit and Bear accused by Interior Dept. of shitting in woods.

Care to name a religion that doesn't indoctrinate its members?
Gah.

Gotta love the press and the reactionary Texas lawmen as well. Scooping up 416 kids. Loathsome. Convicting the sect on television, before a real scrap of evidence appears. It's awful, but hardly surprising. That "whacko liberal" media....please. What a friggin' sensationalist witch hunt. Crime's commited by certain members, tough line between pervasive laws and religious freedoms. So, if this is a precedent, and law is all about precedent, does this mean with the next pederast priest the state can snag ALL Catholic children and put them in a concentration camp?

I think it was Peter Jennings who once wrote that the problem with the press when it came to reporting on religion was that they didn't know anything about the subject.
